Hor Aha is probably the son of Narmer and Nithotep. On an ivory label from the grave of Queen Nithotep in Neqada are his two names Hor-Aha, and the name Nebti Men According to Manetho idea is identical with the founder King Menes. His greatest work was the foundation of the capital of Memphis (Men-nefer). In his grave at Abydos countless shards were found with the name of Berner-Ib, probably his wife.
